Cancellation & refund tiers

Before delivery

Full refund

Cancel anytime before the dumpster is dispatched for delivery and you get every penny back. No questions asked.

After the hauler is en route

Partial refund

Once the hauler is on the way, they've committed time and fuel. We'll refund 50% to your original payment method — or give you a full account credit toward a future rental. Your choice.

After delivery

No refund

Once the dumpster is on your property, the rental is in effect. If you finish early, just text us and we'll schedule pickup — no early-return refund, but no extra charges either.

Prohibited-item contamination at landfill

Additional fees

If the landfill rejects your load or charges additional handling fees because of hazardous, regulated, or otherwise prohibited materials, those fees are billed to you at cost plus a handling fee. See our Terms of Service for the full prohibited-items list.

How do I know if my dumpster has been dispatched?

You'll receive a text message when your delivery is scheduled and again when the hauler is en route. If you haven't received the dispatch text, you're still in the full-refund window. Email hello@tapdump.com or call (480) 270-4595.

Our service guarantee

If we fail to deliver on the scheduled date due to our error, contact us within 24 hours. We'll re-deliver at no additional charge or issue a full refund. Your choice.

This guarantee does not cover damage to driveways, turf, irrigation, or utilities at the placement location — see our Terms of Service.

How long do refunds take?

Refunds are processed within 1–2 business days. Depending on your bank, it may take an additional 5–10 business days to appear on your statement. Account credits are applied immediately.

  • Apply to any future TapDump rental
  • Non-transferable
  • Cannot be redeemed for cash

Before filing a bank dispute

Please reach out to us before filing a chargeback. We resolve most issues within 24 hours. Filing a chargeback adds fees and delays for everyone. We'd rather just fix it directly.
